The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it can be alarmed in regards to the superior number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA sassa status services.
“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The service stage produced for intervention encounters a higher inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to permit the servicing of all consumers and raise use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
